Monsoon sets in, Rain beats parts of Andhra Pradesh!



Visakhapatnam/Nellore: Following the influence of two weather systems in the Bay of Bengal as well as an extension of southwest monsoon to all pockets of the state, Many parts of AP received good rains on Monday. Heavy rain beat Vizag city on Monday morning while other parts of North Coastal AP too received showers of varying intensity. Several mandals in Agency area of Visakhapatnam, including Maduguala, Chodavaram, Paderu, Pedabayalu, etc, received average to heavy rains. 
In the last 24 hours, Nagari of Chittoor district received a whopping 15 cm rainfall. Podalakur and Tada in Nellore, Palasamudram, Puttur and Satyavedu in Chittoor, Pullampeta (Kadapa), and Dharmavaram (Anantapur) received more than 5 cm rainfall. Rain also beat various parts of Prakasam district on Monday. The Cyclone Warning Centre, Visakhapatnam said that a trough is running from north Rajasthan to the west-central Bay of Bengal across west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana and coastal AP.
